As a Personal Meditation Tool...
The ring is a tiny prayer wheel, and engraved on the underside of the outer wheel is the universal mantra - "May all beings be free, May the earth know peace." Twirl your ring around your finger and send this potent prayer out to the cosmos.
An Experiment in Elevating Global Consciousness...
Mindless habits become microdoses of mindfulness, and realign us toward our highest selves. Our hope is to foster a global community of people regularly tuning in to frequencies of harmony, gratitude, and grace.
To Support LARF's Mission...
All profits from the sale of The Humanity Ring supports migrants and refugees in Mexico.
Masterfully engineered by a Swiss designer, the Humanity Ring is a tiny prayer wheel for your hand, serving as a personal meditation tool.
The three lines on the outside of the ring are a reworking of the political borders of Afghanistan, Honduras, and Syria, three countries chosen to represent the world-wide migrant crisis. Engraved on the inside of the ring are the words, "May all beings be free. May the earth know peace."
Cast and hand-finished in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, these rings are made of recycled sterling silver by jewelry designers committed to generating work in troubled, conflict regions in Mexico.
All profits from the sale of this product go to supporting LARF's mission.
Many migrants arrive at ABBA carrying all their possessions in a torn plastic bag, with holes in their well-worn shoes. Your purchase of one Humanity Ring allows ABBA to provide new shoes and a backpack to two people.
Residents at ABBA include families, single parents, and pregnant women. By the time they arrive at ABBA, only the halfway point on a journey from Central America to the US border, they likely have suffered great trauma and in need of physical and mental health support. When you buy two rings, ABBA is able to help these vulnerable people.
The number of amputees arriving at ABBA has more than doubled over the last two years. The Mexican government, under pressure from the US, is curbing the flow of migrants by making it harder for them to travel by public transportation. Instead, desperate people take the risk of riding atop the cargo train known as La Bestia, where many are injured when getting on or off the train. The International Red Cross provides the prosthesis. Your purchase of three rings provides crutches.
ABBA is the only migrant shelter in Mexico that provides prosthesis and a safe place to heal for amputees. Recovery and rehabilitation often takes over a year, during which time your purchase of four Humanity Rings provides two months' of X-rays.
Nourishing food in a safe environment goes a long way in healing bodies broken by the difficult and dangerous migrant path. ABBA provides hot meals every single day. When you buy five Humanity Rings, you feed these residents for a week.
